In VALORANT, each agent has unique abilities. These abilities are crucial for creating strategies and can alter the course of a match. They can provide advantages or disadvantages depending on the map and opponents. The new VALORANT agent, Deadlock, seems to have the potential to change the game’s dynamics.
Riot Games introduced the new agent Deadlock for VALORANT today on the game’s official YouTube channel. This agent falls into the Sentinel category and has managed to capture the attention of players with its unique abilities. It appears that Deadlock will pose a challenge to opponents.
Deadlock’s first ability slows down the enemy, making them an easy target. The second ability is a sonic sensor that can be placed on walls. When someone passes in front of it, the sensor activates and disorients the opponent, making it harder for them to use their weapons.
The third ability creates a barrier that the enemy cannot pass through. However, since it is small, it can be bypassed or destroyed with gunfire. This ability seems to be particularly useful in small areas or cornered regions.
Deadlock’s ultimate ability has generated a lot of excitement among players. This ability creates a path by bouncing off walls, and if there is an enemy on this path, it encases them in a cocoon. Then, it transports them back to the starting point of the path and eliminates them. Another teammate can save their ally by shooting the cocoon. The specific names of the agent’s abilities are not known at the moment, but their functionalities are as described earlier.
The Deadlock agent is currently available for early access VALORANT players, but it is not yet known when everyone will be able to play as Deadlock. It is expected to be introduced with a major update at the start of the next season.
